The separation between NMI and Guahan from my perspective is dangerous. This is a divisive mechanism that causes separation between ONE people. Its political and we cannot let this type of thinking permeate into other aspects of our lives.

Some of that is still felt to this day but some people don't know *why*. I didn't know myself until after I moved to Guahan why I felt that divide. It was passed down. Now that I recognize its origins, I can reject it, but I had to learn first.

It's an indirect result of a politically driven event though so ultimately still a symptom of politics. Not trying to invalidate any experiences here I'm just saying that without all the political bullshit (war) there wouldnt have been a division between us.

We survived the Spanish wars without becoming divided because we clearly understood who the enemy was. The spanish. But In this case some of us have been mislead to believe that we are eachothers enemies because of the politics between the two sides that occupied our lands
