Love this piece Kyle! But I have a few things to say about your suggestions: we are colonized. So the trade we could be having with other nearby countries is limited by our colonizer. Exporting off-island is costly bc of our colonizer. Our high cost of living is bc of our status.https://twitter.com/PostGuam/status/1283850152080547841 …

Also if that is your intent: bravo. Great job, can't wait to read more! I didn't want to comment on the original and make it seem like I wasn't supportive, I am 100% supportive of us being more sustainable. It's just...difficult. Doesn't have to be, but it is. I'm hopeful though!

I wish you well on your activism, and I hope in the near future to work together. Although I did not explicitly advocate for decolonization in my piece, I hope that I did a fair job at implying so, and introducing thoughts for others to think about.

I think you did too. The title was DEFINITELY eye-catching lol. And yes! I am hoping to work with many younger people in this space
Topics that big can seem intimidating for just one person, but thankfully we are OCEANIA, and collectively we can learn, share, & do so much!
