But I think for me personally, I will tell my family that I'm learning and only want them to speak to me in Chamorro and don't want to hear them criticize me unless its constructive. Admittedly, not everyone can tell their parents this. I'm also in Chamorro classes on Saturdays.

I think for our future generations, its helpful to mentor young children and teach them somehow, because they reserve no judgements already. And to put into place safe spaces for learning for adults and children. Guam has a few, and CNMI might but I haven't heard of any/doubt it.
