And the right to privacy should not take precedence over the people's right to transparent and fair government imo. We are giving someone immense power to influence so much. That person should know they must be giving up a few things too for that privilege.

We should allow our elected officials to have health insurance that gives them access to therapy & mental health counseling though bc what they must grapple with is not easy. But it is for that same reason that we have to see for ourselves whether someone running can handle it.

For transparency, I was struggling with depression when I was a soldier. I knew I could never seek help for it: I would get chaptered out. I eventually lost my civilian job, girlfriend, house, dog, & still got chaptered out. Had I been able to seek help it might've gone different

I am so sorry about that dude. Depression doesn't pick and choose who it affects. I would say it made you more aware of yourself, made you more resilient, like it did me, but it doesn't manifest the same in everybody. Depression and mental healthcare shouldn't be stigmatized.
