Lastly, what an intersting statement about minorities and the accumulation of wealth. Do you only think white people can make it in America: "settlers". 3/4 of our grandparents are POC fleeing the poorest parts of the PI.

what’s the interesting statement? that y’all r one of the wealthiest settlers on guam? cause that’s facts, bird brain. yall can be poc & still be settlers. has nothing to do if y’all were poor before u arrived here.

I mean you called out our family which I am apart of so it seems appropriate that I reply too. Is your definition of a settler someone that comes to America and founds a business? Why do you call immigrants settlers? By that logic, you yourself are a settler.

Boy, "settler" means you're not indigenous to a place, but you/your fam decided to SETTLE there. That is all it means. Settle = settler.

"Indigenous to a place". Its not like people sprung up from the ground. They had to have moved from somewhere else making them settlers to the land as well. Seeing as many Chamorros came to Guam in the first migration from Indonesia and pI centuries ago r they settler?

I understand you really wanna be offended, but relax. Chamorros were the FIRST people to settle here in these islands, that means we are INDIGENOUS. The first "anything" to a land is called "indigenous". You will always be a settler, but stop acting so offended by it.

You REALLY need to stop & educate yourself before u continue to make yourself look like a schoolboy throwing a tantrum about something in ur identity that u can't change. You're young & ur probably a St. John's kid so I understand why u don't know bc they don't teach this there

What part of my identity can’t I change? It’s you and the other indigenous rights people that are saying we can’t celebrate Asian-Pacific Islander month that started this whole thing.

You cannot change that you are a settler is what I'm saying. I wasnt involved in any earlier discussion before that point of me trying to educate you on what a settler is. But you know how you can celebrate this month? By helping with Black Lives Matter & Chamorro Decolonization

If you ever want to talk about any of these topics or how you can help/get involved, I am happy to talk to you about it.
