Thread. You got to feel for the people of Guam. No matter what they do someone questions their authenticity. It’s the fucked up thing about being colonized. You’re made to feel you’re neighter authentically Indigenous or authentically American.

How can we support BLM if our islands have their own internally racist problems with various Micronesian and Asian ethnicities?

We don’t have to have 100% of our problems solved 100% of the way to start moving on and speaking out. There will never be a perfect moment to speak out. But silence helps the oppressor.

Giiirl, how long you been following
@ChamorroTweets that you think they don't speak for issues here?? Just this week? Go back in the history yan atan ha. It is selfish to assume that you cannot struggle and STILL help. That is called "scarcity mindset". We are capable of BOTH.1 reply 1 retweet 9 likes -

Was Rome built in a day? When you get older you realize that changes this big takes GENERATIONS of support. We do what we can TODAY to see a better tomorrow. Abundance mindset= there is enough to go around Scarcity mindset= idk when I'll get it next so I'm keeping it for myself

And how many more generations before support is provided when the racial issues of not 5 or 6 generations ago are still real today?
