Very important to have a professional artist do it though. If they're not, they could use crappy ink that looks good right after you get it, then fades 2 months later. Look @ ppl's photos of their tattoos YEARS after they got it, that will show you if it lasts.
Got mine right on my hip bone, towards my hip flexor & it curves upwards almost to my belly button. It's about the size of my hand & includes both outline (large needles) & shading (smaller needles). Took 8 hours total. This shit HURT 6/10 vibrated my hip bones half the time.

BUT the good thing is if its shading, it doesn't hurt even half as bad, just uncomfortable 4/10. It's the dark tribal type/outlines that hurt most.
