As an ordinary Filipino citizen, I think we need to continue speaking about a "plurinational", "pluriethnic", & "plurilinguial" country. For example, why is barong tagalog (a dress specific to my mother's region) promoted as THE national costume for men? We've got so much more.

I only had time to see one museum in the P.I. in Makati and it had dioramas of the ancient indigenous people, and that's what I was referring to but you are spot-on, you're all still alive and around!
