Put it this way: your DNA reveals everything about your family. Your family history of alcoholism, cancer, recessive twin genes, high likelihood of addiction or Parkinson's. It is like a book of your family's secrets, going back hundreds of years. It should be kept PRIVATE.

In the future we could have companies that produce Parkinson's meds saying "I wanna see who I should target to sell these meds effectively. Hey 23andMe, send that list over." THEY CAN DO IT. They keep that info! It is in their best interest to! They target your whole family.

All bc someone from the family GAVE that info. That's the "lighter" version of what else they can do if they have that info. There are some deeper, more insiduous things, that will develop in the future based on DNA & genetic engineering. Don't be naive & think it won't happen
