In regards to this, since we are genetically descended from islands off Taiwan I would love to go there, and do research to see whether those indigenous cultures there recorded their ancient practices which we could use as a possible source of inspiration too.

Same with places like Indonesia, the Philippines, and even the rest of Micronesia. Both linguistically and culturally the similarities are much stronger between us and those places vs. us and Polynesia.

Yup I agree. We may influence each other but we have stronger connections to those we are descended from. Chamorros in general only have ~5% Oceanian (Poly/Melanesia) blood in them. The greatest amount is South Asian.

Oh yeah definitely! We are the same people separated by thousands of years, our journeys, different colonizers, and histories. We developed our own language and unfortunately it was a spoken one, so much of our ancient history is lost, but we can create anew using our connections
