But right now I'm helping my MIL organize old things to donate/sell/throw and..she kept all of my man's baby clothes. She kept all of his childhood toys & adolescent clothes too, down to his FD football jersey. Privilege doesn't always mean a private beach. It can mean this.

Growing up in our rickety house meant typhoons took away almost all of my childhood belongings. All I have are memories and a few prized photo albums that were salvaged. I wish I had something more to give my kids from my childhood and growing up. THAT is a privilege.
