Someone help me understand: why is the increased Business Tax, which provides 35% of tax revenue, hitting the island's poor & working class the hardest? I assume its hitting the island's businesses and contractors the hardest. And how does this tie into the minimum wage increase?https://twitter.com/GuamPDN/status/1172035362346143744 …

But the minimum wage increase is a very necessary thing because the prices for everything else are coming up regardless of whether they decrease the business tax, right? I mean, with the tariffs imposed with China they definitely will increase prices for consumer goods anyway.

As someone who's been working min wage & up the past few years in different places (Vegas & Guam), with no potential to increase because I'm a student, I respectfully disagree. Our cost of living shouldn't be so high with such low wages. I shouldn't have to pull 3 jobs to survive
