Every time someone asks me if I have kids I sing out "noooo, I'm a professional Auntie" and it makes me cringe a little inside

I agree. It's such a tangled web society weaves women into. I was formerly into having 3 kids, now I'm contemplating having even one. Whatever I am blessed with, when I'm done with school, I will be grateful for. But not yet.

I used to set goals for myself with a date for when I wanted to accomplish them bc I wanted to have a family at a certain age, & I needed my 3 kids to be all two years apart exactly, like me & my sisters. When I didn't meet those goals it threw me into depression like no other.

Fam told me I should be married by 25. Now they assume I'm focusing on my career. I work a regular 8-5, I'm not trying to run for maga'haga
I'm just BEING. I cant explain it lol
Here's a tip for people who don't know what to ask unmarried women w/ no kids: How was your day?

I'm also not trying to run for maga'haga
I just want to accomplish the goals I feel I was born to do, and live a life rich in learning, friendship, and giving along the way.
If kids come, great. If not, that's also great (I'll probably adopt though).
