Did anyone else see that post about a beer making company called the Manhattan Beer Project that branded their drinks after the nuclear testing that happened in Bikini? They named their beers Bikini, half-life, Plutonium-23 ect. I'm fully outraged.

This is probably some lame start up local company made by people who are clearly ignorant of the history. But still it's no excuse for them to use OUR HISTORY as a label for them to misuse and objectify. BIKINI IS NOT A SWIMSUIT, AND IT SURE HELL IS NOT RASPBERRY FLAVORED

WHITE PEOPLE please listen to me! Indigenous words ARE NOT your's to trademark and profit off of! ALOHA DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU, BULA DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU, AND BIKINI DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU. I cannot stress this enough, use your own words like Genocide to name your brand.

Let's not even start with the fact that they're starting to exploit kava/sakau for their trendy "kava bars"

one kava bar even tried to trademark Bula for their own

It's like Kim K trademarking "kimono". Stupid. Tactless. Insensitive.
