I'm going to tell you the practical side which is that you should go if you know you'll need a certain degree for your career. To go for the sake of going isn't cheap. If you can get it paid for fully by PELL, or have a college fund to pay for it, then that's awesome!
I would say, find what you're passionate about, look into taking classes similar or relating to it, look up your dream jobs and see what their job descriptions want. Work backwards from your future. I worked at financial aid and saw a lot of students in debt. I'm in debt lol.

Not trying to discourage you. Just know what you want out of it, & milk it for what it's worth! Don't waste your opportunities. Either way, it's worth it. You'll find out so much about yourself. You're in college to learn about how you learn, if that's important to you then go!

I just wanted to add more insight to your situation. But as a male student going to college you will most likely have more PELL grant funds than a female student going to college. My brother received twice if not more than I got when we were both going to college.

I don't regret going, I just don't think blindly encouraging people who aren't sure whether they want to go or not is a great idea. Some people need more time to mature before going & that's okay too. My sister failed her first year entirely bc she didn't know. She now gets A's
