Man, so I'm THAT nerd that constantly says "this was like this in the real myths, this wasn't so watered down"etc haha. I kept my Greek and Roman Classics Dictionary from my College lit class and look up stuff all the time. I want a better depiction of Hercules' (Heracles) trialshttps://twitter.com/3Lapappy/status/1140589327463976960 …

I am also that nerd except I barely cared for Roman mythology, preferring Greek instead, and did deeper dives into Norse and Micronesian mythology, with a smattering of Egyptian and Indian ones throughout. Norse was always my fave. When Loki killed Baldur I cried.

Oh yes, I absolutely love all Pacific Island Mythology. I try to read as many of them as I can :) I have an Egyptian Mythology book I've been meaning to read, and I WILL get to it soon! Now I know to also look for Norse (I only read one story and it was so long ago).

I agree on the Pacific Island myths. I kinda wish there was a consistent few gods/people in them as opposed to all these different ones, but that's what makes us a unique region, being so diverse, so I can't complain, that's also why I love us.
