You make a good point with Switzerland! Never knew that. But also look at the flip side with places like Australia and Japan with super tight restrictions and very low deaths via firearm. Can also be attributed to cultural differences though.

I get ya. But like, I feel that guns aren't an "equalizer". If anything, they will always allow for an uneven ground because it'll be the person with the biggest gun, most expensive gun, most rounds, etc who will "win" by KILLING! As if it's a video game!

You could look at it like that but it could also become that people know that others could be armed & will think to not just whip out a gun. The whole video game concept could also be applied to any type of weapon. Knives, bats, anything really.

It's a super convoluted topic with tons of different factors going into play that isn't well-understood because there is so little standardized research that can be done about it. Which I get. I also get that this discussion could probably be done better in person?
