Well....that only (usually) applies to private residences. Not public places, or places of work. Shiet, now THAT would be crazy. Imagine stand your ground laws in public places!

Castle doctrine is for private residences. Stand your ground has actually been passed bit they wabt to add to it to allow a person to defend themselves wherever they are.

Tbh I don't like the sound of that. Unless the vetting of people allowed to have guns is extremely thorough, I won't feel more secure if I know others can just whip out their damn glock to be a vigilante whenever they feel "threatened".

Of course there's also Japan that has very strict gun laws & the crime rate there is also very low so it does depend on the people
