    A very interesting development, signalling that the two groups are willing to overcome their historic grievances to confront the new administration. The most relevant question now is perhaps: will other ethnic groups join this alliance?

    This comes on top of the decision by UAE-affiliated media to publish reports criticizing (see & ). Signs of a more troubled relation between and the seem to keep piling up

    MSF and NRC being suspended in Ethiopia is relevant, but the sidenote on the suspension of the UAE's Al Maktoum Foundation is very interesting. Expelling an aid organization so tied into the UAE royal family seems to signal a rather troubled relationship.
