One promotion locally did a spot involving a piledriver with a kid that age. Took 13 months to recover from that backlash from fans.

It’s idiotic. The risks are too high.

While we are blaming the promoters, we should absolutely also be blaming her parents. Unacceptable.

Parent may not understand the risks. They may just think it’s a show and fake and the mat is padded.

Shouldn’t be bumping. But can be learning the basics. Safely. My daughter has been at it for 4 weeks now and is loving it. But mats and safety are key.pic.twitter.com/lDxzmTgOUz

Given what we know today, I wouldn't mind seeing the kids wear padded helmets either (like martial arts helmets) - they even use them at @WWEPerformCtr. Done safely, learning to fall safely has many uses beyond wrestling.

Her head literally bounced off the mat, which is something that doesn't happen when a chokeslam is done correctly, between two safe professionals.

I’ve seen videos of her training at a school. I never understood why a school would train her this young. She’s still growing. To me it always seemed very unsafe. I know she has become a name but publicity doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to risk permanent injury to a kid

As a former juvenile correction officer I can tell you that kids that young could only be placed in a select few holds because of growth plates and bone density.
