CNN’s was in Yankin this morning with military escorts. A relatively quiet township with very little protests since the violent crackdown. Still, people are banging pots and pans during the day to let her know that we are not okay. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Most folks in Yankin are retirees, not densely populated, most buildings are 2-3 stories high - meaning not a great place for protest to face off against crackdown. This is why the military is showing around in this neighborhood.

UPDATE: A few hours after left Yankin, an envoy of police and soldiers drove pass Yankin and arrested 4 kids who happened to be on the street. A few shots were fired too. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
