Good morning to Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked, whose New Right Party just made it into the Knesset with the soldiers’ votes with 3.26% of the vote. Blue and White, UTJ and URP lost seats with NR’s entry.

And of course the Central Elections Committee is not updating their website or answering phone calls or texts about what's going on. What year is it?

The committee says the results go by what's been counted and not what's on the website. No, duh. But doesn't the public deserve to know the actual results? The ineptitude is killing me.pic.twitter.com/MuaPBAhLaG

The committee also says they finished counting double envelopes (soldiers, diplomats, etc) and are doing the same review they always do.

Yes, yes, I see the further speculations on twitter, too. But that's all they are, speculations. I am only going to report what is confirmed, and at the moment, there's nothing new.

Tracked down what the speculations are based on: Someone from inside the vote-counting room leaked to Kulanu that they gained a seat. No official news or confirmation yet. But that would likely mean New Right is not getting in.

Btw, as suspenseful as this is, the committee did say this morning that they wouldn't be done until 3 or 4 this afternoon, so I guess we really shouldn't complain...but I'm still complaining.

It's 4, no news, but people spotted Shaked in the Knesset looking bummed.

Deleted an earlier tweet because someone from the Central Elections Committee FINALLY deigned to speak to me. All ballot boxes were counted, none were accidentally forgotten. They are reviewing the protocols of 30 poll sites and it will take a few more hours.

Central Elections Ctee chairman Melcer says they will release results at midnight. The confusion is a result of a problem in synchronizing the real results with the website the public saw. "No problem was found in the core system, separate from the Internet, or in counting votes"
Show this thread -
Melcer says the numbers that will be shown on the website at midnight are the real ones, which he will present to the President.

Melcer also says that security branches looked into the problem, as well, and said there was no cyber attack. (Another rumor that had popped up today.)
