    Lots of Army policy seems like it’s operating under the assumption that only one soldier in a couple is serving, & that their spouse doesn’t work. That’s not what society looks like today, & it disproportionately affects female soldiers. What would you change, if you could?

    our HHC cmdr switched last week. in his speech, he didn’t talk about the unit’s accomplishments — instead he told stories about 6 or 7 of the Soldiers & how they worked to make the company better. he cared so much about the team, & he showed it until the day he passed the guidon.

    my rapist got out of the army a few years ago, and the man who stalked me is getting out later this year. I am beyond fucking thrilled to wake up and put on my uniform one day and not have to share it with either of those men.
