Great contributions to Queen’s Speech debate. Strong opener from & powerful maiden from . I spoke about the DWP Bills. Except there are none. No sign of the promised Employment Bill or Disability Strategy. Nothing on poverty. Strange priorities.

That at least 20,000 people who may have been infected with a virulent strain of entered the country whilst the Prime Minister dithered and delayed about adding India to the red list leaves him with serious questions to answer. Me in 👇

This is a lovely obituary for James Winston in today’s . The “London” & “Dublin” Times, as he called them, were his daily papers of choice… often quoted & occasionally even believed! He’d be proud to have his life & character so well-captured

It's been a privilege to be Labour's first PCC in Nottinghamshire. Working together we've achieved so much in the last nine years. Thanks so much.

Didn't quite get the win today at the County Council election but big progress has been made in Lancing. Increase from 17% to 36% of the vote share Across every Adur division, Labour has narrowed the gap. In Worthing, Labour now has 5 county councillors having not had one before

Absolutely fantastic result by in my home ward of Weetwood who has just won by 1300 votes the largest majority in the ward in any council election here which wasn’t in a General Election year. We lost it by 200 votes in May 2019.
