it's pretty embarrassing for Canada that ethereum was essentially founded by Canadians & many crypto builders are Canadian yet most of them have left Canada

I wish everyone with a $crypto project that claims to help uplift disadvantaged people would have to live like those they claim to want to help for 1 year.

Hearing more stories of non US SWers being detained in the US based on facial recognition. Latest one wasn’t even working. She had deleted all her ads too. She just had a layover at LAX while traveling from Europe to Australia.

One of my favorite historical examples of this, for intimate apparel, is how open-crotch underwear was once the norm and closed-crotch underwear was seen as scandalous…when it is very much the opposite today.

The issue of respectability in dress, and what constitutes "proper" attire in public, has raged for as long as people have worn clothes. People who take this position fail to recognize that their own clothes were once the "yoga pants" of their day. I will run through examples

So Alabama's really going to vote on whether a pregnant person should go to jail for murder if they don't produce a live birth.
legislature.state.al.us/pdf/Searchable
But hey! The pregnant person can't be prosecuted over miscarriage due to physical or sexual assault from a partner. Generous.

one of the biggest fallacies about relationships is that there is a right person out there waiting for you to find them and when you do, you’ll suddenly be in a great relationship
but great relationships aren’t just out there waiting for you—they are co-created, they are *built*

In Louisiana, traffic to Pornhub dropped 80% following the state's new age-verification law. But does this mean people stopped watching porn? No, since people could just visit sites that weren't complying with the law or skirt it with a VPN.

My first piece for , on the royal women of Dubai who risked everything to flee the brutality of its ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, while he publicly espoused gender equality. A story of mind-blowing courage and terrifying cruelty.

Some wild transactions in the mempool...
Here, someone's paying 10 Million sats in fees to send 12 Million sats.
That's a 78% transaction fee. 🤯

HEY KIDS: Want to know what AI Hype looked like 15 years ago, when Bostrom was (kind of) fashionable and Kurzweil's skin didn't look like a paint shop accident?
Check this dossier at spectrum.ieee.org/special-report it's a perfect time capsule of SINGULARITY HYPE

This woman was forced to carry to term a pregnancy that nearly killed her, then was prosecuted for her behaviors during pregnancy — not b/c she was doing anything illegal, but b/c her behaviors weren’t healthy for the pregnancy they forced her to carry.

Transaction fees are supposed to go higher, and this is what we all expect to happen in the future.
If you can't afford high fees, you'll be priced out of the Bitcoin blockchain and will transact over the Lightning Network.
This is just a preview of what Bitcoin will look like

“Crypto is dumb I can’t think of a single use case.” Gestures at any industry where the ppl who make stuff cant monetize it themselves. we got ppl getting removed from the banking system for fixing this prob. And everyone else crying and diddling themselves bc tube sites are hit.
