@FredericDeon administrators have plenty of avenues to terminate bad teachers, union or otherwise. Sounds like management prob.

@LaFedTeachers no stereotypes! Every teacher deemed a pushover at my high school was part of the union. The "good" ones were not.

@FredericDeon experience matters but yours is not the only one. Our union serves vital purpose of being voice of professional educators.

@LaFedTeachers I worked as a lobbyist for an LFT affiliate for 2 years &was scolded at for acknowledging that there are ineffective teachers

@FredericDeon sounds like you had bad experience. Why apply it as a universal truth?

@LaFedTeachers clearly there are others including former union members besides myself who feel the same.

@FredericDeon feelings done matter. We need accurate evaluations so no one has to "feel" they can KNOW the truth.

@LaFedTeachers I don't agree that yearly assessments should be used as a VAM. But attendance, management, punctuality & attitudes about work
