If it's so good, volunteer to become a slave.

I lost a friend years ago. She was playing devil’s advocate about slavery and I suggested she let me own her daughter for a few years. She thought it was incredibly offensive for me to even state a hypothetical like that about her child and immediately blocked me. Grade A irony.
