I do not support govt handouts. But if you give money to dairy farmers and to the steel industry you have to look prairie lentil and durum producers in the eye and tell them why they are not deserving. They have been impacted by market access issues and subsidies.

Are we, 11,000 dairy farmers, at war with the Canadian government? NO! So why is 10% (in the last 5 yrs.) of our first fruits taken away and given to foreigners? And this fruit fruit is not given only this year, but for eternity. Oh ya, and I haven’t seen a penny for this theft.

I guess I am 1/2 plus one. I am not happy with the concessions Canada made on dairy in the USMCA agreement! We work hard and want to produce our countries food.
