•Share news on social media and speak out among peers and colleagues on a regular basis. •Send money to the National Defence Ministry of Ukraine. •Donate money to smaller volunteer groups active on the ground in Ukraine.

The demands are as follows: •Talk openly about the invasion and spread awareness about the facts in our home countries. •Speak to local and national authorities and put pressure on them to send more support to Ukraine (fighter jets, weapons, money).

We are joined on these positions both with the European Liberal youth network, our youth organisations and other political families. LYMEC are doing what we can to help and have shared the demands from our Ukrainian members on what needs to be done with the @RenewEurope MEPs.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine instigated by Russia, we have stood firm in our position on tangible sanctions against Putin’s regime, defence capabilities for Ukraine and calls for civil actions in the EU.

Following our recent meeting with representatives on the ground in Ukraine and considering the @RenewEurope pre-summit and @ALDEParty Leaders meeting tomorrow, we as European Liberal Youth would like to draw attention to our pleas to support our Ukrainian friends and members.

We will continue to fight for a more equal society for all. Everyone must be respected and treated equally, no matter their race or origin.

We believe that any act of discrimination must be condemned. The fact that refugees are treated differently based on their origin is something we cannot accept.

Putin's war in Ukraine has not only highlighted the fragility of peace in Europe, but also revealed racial discrimination towards refugees from i.a. Africa, Middle East and South Asia, proof that racism is unfortunately still very present in our society.
