    Voters’ mail-in ballots will count through Nov. 12 as long as they are postmarked by 5 p.m. Nov. 3., the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled.

    As of 3:30 p.m., more than 2 million ballots have been cast in North Carolina. Around the same time in 2016, around 700,000 ballots had been cast.

    Absentee ballots received by November 12 will be included in the canvass. They still must be postmarked on or before November 3.

    Voters with other deficiencies/problems will be sent an Absentee Cure Certification form, which can be returned up to November 12 for the ballot to be counted. Their ballot will not be spoiled but will be waiting for that certificate to arrive to be counted.

    Voters with missing witness or assistant signatures will be sent a new ballot. The first ballot will be marked "spoiled" and they can return the new ballot or vote in person.

    People keep asking about early voting lines and when is a good day/time to vote. Based on this chart of turnout, I suggest TODAY if your county is one of 44 that has Sunday voting, this coming Monday-Wednesday, or next Saturday/Sunday. Weekday best times 8-10am or 5:30-7:30pm
