What‘s something that seems obvious within your profession, but the general public seems to misunderstand?

Its a lot of fun! And it really teaches you a lot about cultural differences based on how countries view different content. There’s a wide range of ways countries tackle violence, sexuality, drugs, & profanity in folk.

There's a pretty harmless animated film that we released (can't say which) that had the god Apollo appear at the end. It was rated super, super high in the Middle East, despite being essentially a PG movie, b/c having a god appear wasn't OK in those countries.

And some things just don't get released at all. Like there's an episode of Star Trek that had alien Nazis (seriously) & it didn't release in Germany for something like 30 years.

Oh! This one is well known but Raiders of the Lost Ark is banned in India b/c it disparages the Indian people.

We never got a rating certificate for it. It was certified banned. Now if someone is broadcasting or selling it illegally, I mean that's on them & that's not my problem lol but we don't have any required ratings certificate for it.

Literally never considered the fact that SOMEONE has to compile that, that computers don’t just do this autonomously. Lol. Smh. Like how lexicographers get ignored as if dictionary dot com writes itself. Smh

টুইটার তার ক্ষমতার বাইরে চলে গেছে বা কোনো সাময়িক সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হয়েছে আবার চেষ্টা করুন বা আরও তথ্যের জন্য টুইটারের স্থিতি দেখুন।
