  5. Kevin, a lot of what's gone wrong with the UK in the last 50 years is nothing to do with the EU. Other EU countries have protected their small fishing fleets much better than the UK government has ours. As so often, the EU has been scapegoated for problems of our own making.

Who’d‘ve thought being an international trading nation meant learning to speak Arabic & Mandarin?

  8. A few months to go and the same faces continue to spread the same falsehoods unchallenged. Redwood says the "majority" of our trade is on WTO terms - in fact the vast majority is through EU deals. This should be called out not rewarded with interview slots & knighthoods.

  9. Now is not the time for defeatism. Instead we need collective action in defense of our values, and a more robust and decisive EU. Some thoughts on how this could be Europe’s moment.

Only weeks left now until the UK leaves the EU on 29th March. Hearing lots of talk about "no deal" and aren't sure what this means? Heres a great (and well balanced) little 10 minute video that explains in plain English what some of its impacts could be -

  12. Please research. We pay a fee for 'membership', we get a rebate, and for every pound we pay out we have the benefit of 10 pounds plus back. We don't just pay a fee for nothing. Is that what you thought?

  14. "Unelected EU officials" is another Brexit lie. The MEP are elected by the citizens. The commision president is elected by the European parliament (this is new in Lisbon treaty). Council President is elected by country leaders. These are all democratic elections.

Another long "actual consequences of Brexit" thread, to go along with the 100+ I previously highlighted... The Electoral Commission reports that it cost £129.1 million to stage the 2016 referendum, including £94.5 million spent on administration. 1/33

Excellent to see explain so eloquently that we are all just volunteers giving up hours to fight for our country. Some of us wish would fund us a little. It would make our campaign so much easier.

LISTEN: John voted leave. He was concerned about the lack of jobs in his area & felt immigration had a big impact on that. But here is a clip from him speaking to Adrian Chiles on radio 4 this week (a follow up to July 2016 Panorama) about his change of mind. (1/6)
