In 1960s, majority of Americans didn't support civil rights protest either. I thank God that MLK & others didn't abide to such by ceasing sit-ins, marches and so on, otherwise, the Civil Rights Act wouldn't exist!!!https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/10/colin-kaepernick/541845/ …

There was NO possible change that was going to be caused by
#Kaepernick et al sitting or kneeling during the National Anthem before an NFL game. The entire idea was *counterproductive* because that ceremony is widely seen as unifying, patriotic, and supportive of the military. 1/2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
Replying to @LNSmithee @divavivi and
People have gotten into the habit of comparing
#Kaepernick to#RosaParks or those sitting at Woolworth's lunch counter, i.e. John Lewis. It's baloney. Rosa's protest was *about* the bus. Lewis' protest was *about* the lunch counter. Kap's was not about *anything* on the field. 2/2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
Using your analogy...protest marches were about making sure Blacks could walk in the middle of the street on the regular. But, of course, it was NOT!! Sigh....

Everybody knows America isn't perfect. Everybody knows there's discrimination. Everybody knows about police brutality. Nobody would've begrudged
#Kaepernick if he voiced his concerns in other ways. On the field during the National Anthem before the game was NOT that place.9 replies 1 retweet 2 likes -
"No one would have paid attention..." to
#Kaepernick, maybe. But was there a shortage of people talking about racism? Or police brutality? Or the black men killed by police? Of course not. Everybody heard and talked about it. Nobody learned about it from him. Get real.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
Explain how
#Kaepernick kneeling on the field was supposed to translate into the change he desired. Seriously. Detail the nexus from pissing off people for not standing for the Anthem and changing the heart of America.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
Me: "Explain how #Kaepernick kneeling on the field was supposed to translate into the change he desired."
You: "Ya know what? If he pissed off your incel ass, it was a good day's work."
Thanks for proving my point.
