Woohoo! After being delayed due to unexpected errors on Apple's side, I finally have my first CVE! :D The complete write-up and POC will be published in the next few days.

Yesterday was my 3 month anniversary at my new job, a perfect day to accidentally commit and push NSLog(@"Shkaznavishoko")

So it turns out that Google Chrome was making everything on my computer slow *even when it wasn’t running*, because it installs something called Keystone which is basically malware. I made a website because this shouldn’t happen:

Woah, I wonder why piracy of music, movies, TV shows and software is still a thing. The meaning of this that you must relinquish control of too many aspects of your machine to use Apple Music, Apple TV, Netflix or iOS apps on your ARM-based Mac.

Blargg's APU test ROMs unknowingly trigger two APU bugs that were unknown until today, causing Blargg and emulator developers reach very wrong conclusions about how the sweep channel worked. Effectively, every emulator that passed these tests passed them for the wrong reasons.

Even if ARM was infinite times faster than x86, I'd rather use x86 over a machine that uses an ISA as badly documented as ARM's

These two new behaviors + other fixes related to channel 1 sweep now pushed into SameBoy's master branch

Oops, I confirmed one more obscure behavior! That thing's useful!

Shout out to ! Thanks to his awesome DMG schematics I've discovered a previously undiscovered APU quirk, confirmed it on hardware (It also applies to the CGB!) and implemented it in SameBoy! It's also been super useful in understanding the mess called channel 1 sweep!

Why do people even worry about Bill Gates’ 5G in-vaccine chips, they’d be running Windows and installing updates 99% of the time anyway.

While mostly untested, it should still be extremely accurate (The original console appears to be a modified version of stolen HDL DMG sources, which SameBoy already emulates extremely accurately). Also AFAIK this is the only Mega Duck emulator to include a debugger.

Yes, this is a real emulator that emulates the Mega Duck, which is almost identical, but incompatible with the Game Boy! You can grab the source and compile a standalone Cocoa or SDL version or a Libretro core from here:

Me: I'm never going to write another emulator Also me: There's a console called "Mega Duck" and it's 99.9% identical to the Game Boy??? :O

I’ve struggled for an hour and eventually failed deleting the root APFS snapshot on my work Mac running Big Sur. I can’t fix Apple’s bugs this way. Any idea how it can be done? :(

Update: Apple replied saying "[my] credit will be included on the security advisories in an upcoming update"; which is a bit odd considering it has been fixed in the Big Sur beta for at least a month. As for the bounty reward, the bug's qualification is still being evaluated.
