A 15 year old trans girl, starting a new school, is personally picked on & described as a threat to her new classmates. In a national newspaper. Can you imagine how that girl & her family are feeling? Unsafe, unwelcome & afraid. No wonder UK trans children are at crisis point.https://twitter.com/pretty_done/status/1032209424708972544 …

I still want an answer from @LGBTpoliceuk about this. Is it incitement to hate or not? Is it a hate crime? If not, why not?

All hate incidents should be reported so that an investigation can be done & appropriate care provided to the victims. We represent LGBT police officers & do not undertake investigations. We would ask that those victims come forward and report this to their local force on 101.

We absolutely support the trans community and our Trans colleagues. Anyone who feels victimised by this article we would ask that they report it via 101.

I had no idea the Police were available for this sort of thing. All those years women have felt victimised by sexist media debasing our humanity as nothing but puerile sexual entertainment and sales fodder on every possible platform, and all we had to do was call the Police...

Nope, doesn't apply. Sex might be a protected characteristic, but hate speech directed at a female simply because she is female doesn't count as hate speech - that's business as usual. (To be fair, if it were to be made hate speech, the police would never get anything else done.)

With 2 women murdered by male violence every week, with 85,000 women a year being raped & 250,000 sexually assaulted, with 100s of egs of male voyeurism & flashing it's a pity the police don't have better things to do than invite complaints about a fucking newspaper article.

Yeah, and give Sarah Vine the subject of her next anti trans article on how the trans cult reported her to the police for this one and how everyone fortunately saw sense as no action was taken. Only to ramp up the hate more because nothing ever happens to those who spread it.
