I don’t want to spend one second discussing Liz Warren’s likeability or Beto’s fresh energy. What if— WHAT IF— this cycle we only compare their policy platforms and ability to competently and transparently lead

Disagree- POTUS should be an inspirational person in addition to having good policies.

Yea well “inspirational person” in politics is meaningless when you consider internal biases that somehow always make men the more inspirational candidates

Even though I am an older white guy, I find AOC inspirational - not that she is ready in 2020.

Two years ago, when Hillary was running, white guys were saying she wasn’t inspirational but that Warren was. Now that Warren’s running, she’s not inspirational but AOC is. It’s only the woman not running for president who inspires. Why is that?

Nobody inspired by @RepBarbaraLee being ONLY 1 in #USA #Congress w courage, integrity to vote no on giving war/powers to #POTUS for Afghanistan... Until history caught up, "#Liberal Hollywood" stopped booing Michael Moore... and a decade after that when #Trump pretended to be her

I loved Hillary. I loved her policy. I thought she was an Uber competent technocrat. I voted for her and canvassed for her. But I never put her sticker on my car next to my Obama sticker. ie Charisma matters whether we want it to or not.

I, a bumper-sticker-avoider, went out *after* the election & got a Hillary sticker for my car bc I'm so disgusted the way Hillary has been portrayed vs her competition. Once I realized, I started watching videos & holy shit - she's warm & funny & whip smart. And inspirational.

In my mind, Hillary remains best-qualified to be president. Transcripts of the debates and a speech she gave in Oct. 2016 remind me of what might have been - and what still could be.

And yet the voters of America picked the least-qualified candidate! Why don't qualifications matter to the voter? We're seeing the result ;(

It’s infuriating. Buts that’s the arena in which the presidential election game is played. No use pretending it’s not. My plan? Work hard in the primaries for whichever candidate I FEEL most inspired by. Then work even harder in the general for whichever dem wins primary.
