Maybe Brett Kavanaugh drank 6 drinks, drove drunk, crashed his car, almost killed someone, tried to flee the scene of an accident, and his Daddy the judge made sure he didn't serve time. Oh, sorry. That was Beto O'Rourke.

Here is how good Democrats have it: 1) Anonymous Twitter account posts a fun video of a Congresswoman dancing in high school / college; 2) Nobody has a problem with it; 3) The Press report it as GOP attacking the Congresswoman without citing a source of anyone attacking her.

The establishment media promised us: “We will hold the powerful accountable.” “Democracy Dies In Darkness,” they screamed. Yet, when an obviously manufactured lie is propagated by the “new Obama” - watch what happens: they spoon feed the lie uncritically to readers. *Thread*

Calling our National Press is the most accurate description of what they do.

No one thinks this is scandalous. Dance away (was actually pretty good). What is scandalous is increasing income taxes to 70%. It’s wholly unethical for anyone to work a majority of the year just to give their money to the government. Dancing’s great, but ideas matter more.

It is amazing what is allowed to be published in major publications. Most of what is cited in the column did not happen. Apparently citations, references, and examples are not necessary.

"When conservatives this week tried to make hay out of a dance video she made in college, she made another dance video, chiding the GOP as prigs who hate women who dance" Challenge: Cite examples of conservatives. If you cannot, why do you believe you are worthy of publishing?

Media: AOC IS THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE! SHE'S SOOOO IMPORTANT! Conservatives: Okay. That's scary. Her policy is insane. Media: LOOK, SHE'S DANCING! YOU HATE THAT! Conservatives: Nah, her policy is just insane. Media: WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH HER?

. I’m not lobbying. Not now. Or ever. Perhaps you were cracking open a beer when that was announced. Don’t mind your criticisms. Just be more sensitive to facts.

Actually, the GOP doesn't care. One twitter user whose account has since been deleted cared; people across the political spectrum made fun of him.

So did anyone figure out yet how a single anonymous account posting the AOC dance video resulted in a two-day national media explosion? Conspiracy seems unlikely, but what are the dynamics/incentives coalescing to create such a strange set of circumstances?

Honest request... I promise I'm not being disingenuous here. I keep hearing the conservatives were criticizing AOC for the video of her doing The Breakfast Club Dance. I have a lot of conservatives in my timeline and I have literally seen no one criticizing her.
