    Hm, maybe they should check what a VPN is and can do. Not everyone needs to be technical but that’s not hard to find out. Also indicative where they are indeed illegal / gov controlled.

    Don’t trust the machines...

    The is such a fucking sexist program. My wife and I filed joint tax returns, live in a community-property state, and have been married for a long time. Yet Apple’s black box algorithm thinks I deserve 20x the credit limit she does. No appeals work.

    This story is bigger than it seems. It’s not just about TikTok and ByteDance. Think Huawei and 5G, drones, surveillance tech. The US and EU need a cohesive strategy to deal with Chinese tech and cybersecurity.
