    Our Northeast Local (NELo) has officially partnered with Accion Comunitaria to purchase & distribute food in Cypress Park every Weds. The distro has become one of NELo's strongest outreach venues, grounded in the understanding that food justice & housing justice are inseperable.

    Every other Wed, we organize w Accion Comunitaria in Cypress Park! We’re excited to be back today for our second distro with them. Last time we served 111 families! 🙏🏽 Special shoutout to , Northeast Local, FISH of the West Valley 💚

    All of this work at the molecular scale strengthens our city-wide movement. LATU’s city-wide movement is in solidarity with many tenants unions across Canada and the US. Together, these tenants movements make up the Autonomous Tenants Union Network, . 6/7

    Our organizing takes place within the local chapters. When tenants organize, they form a tenants association (TA). TAs are supported by a local’s organizers and supporters. Committees form within locals to further support organizing efforts. 5/7

    We’re made up of autonomous local chapters rooted in neighborhoods across LA. The locals are supported by unionwide committees. Each local has a representative on the LATU Spokescouncil. At Spokescouncil meetings, local representatives share updates with one another. 3/7
