    Dia de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated throughout Latin America in which families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives with an altar laden with flowers, food & sweets. According to tradition, children’s souls return on Nov 1st & adults on the 2nd.

    On Tue, 10/27, I visited the Salvation Army Bell Shelter & presented a $17.5K check from proceeds raised thru LASD Veteran’s Patch sales. As a military veteran it was honor to do this & see the shelter furnished with amenities where veterans in need can live life a little better.

    Excellent work in keeping the community safe and removing the guns from criminal hands.

    Deputies responded to a Norwalk motel room where they arrested one male being an ex felon for 2 handguns,two shotguns,an AR-15 with a lot of ammo along with meth.,mushrooms and Xanax pills. Great arrest!
