That was slightly before my time but I do remember my dad taking me to wrestling matches at the Olympic with my mom (it was that or hire a babysitter, I think) and watching boxing matches on KTLA Channel 5 with (I believe) Dick Lane announcing.
I lived there every friday night in the 70’s
