This brings floods of memories~ Letting my son get his 1st LA library card: Ma'am he'll have to be able to sign his own name. I pick up kid to check out height, tell him to read instructions & sign. No further prompting (He printed his name) I think he was 4 (Pre-school age)

Now we live in rural Maine at least half an hour to any town w/ sizeable library. We have a pre-K to 8th grade sch. My kids in 4th & 6th grade w/ teacher's help promoted a community library. They approached Stephen & Tabitha King, got grant now have a small library 4 community!
