A survey by LMU found that community members believe the LAPD is doing about the same as other police departments in implementing police reforms. About the same is not acceptable to us, which is why our training continues to pave the way for other Departments across the nation.

LAPD Swat (.swat) attended the Above & Beyond Ceremony to commemorate the two SWAT officers who received awards for their heroism during a critical incident. Officer Rea was awarded the Medal of Valor, and Officer Williams was awarded the Medal of Valor and the Purple Heart.

The victim was transported in stable condition. The victim advised officers that her daughter was inside the residence. Officers located the daughter, who was unharmed.

On October 18 Wilshire officers responded to a call of a man armed with a sword. After taking the suspect into custody, officers located a victim suffering from stab wounds. Officers worked quickly to render emergency medical aid and care for the victim until paramedics arrived.

An investigation into a call of shots heard led Officers to the discovery of numerous weapons, which includes a "ghost" assault rifle that was illegally possessed. Great work by Newton Patrol Officers helping keep our streets safe.
