    With a heavy heart & profound grief, we recognize the sacrifice of our service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan today as well as the tremendous loss of innocent lives. The loss is tragic but the heroic efforts to evacuate fellow Americans & allies will not be forgotten

    LAPD Mounted Unit officers on patrol came across a woman who was pale and unconscious. Through their training and experience they quickly identified she had overdosed on drugs and administered NARCAN. Minutes later she was responsive and alert. Service comes in many forms.

    Paramedics responded to the scene and evaluated the infant, found to be in good health. The mother was very appreciative of the outpouring of help from the officers, fire department & community members. LAPD & the community partnering together to help Angelenos in times of need.

    LAPD Mounted Unit officers on patrol came upon a frantic mother, who had accidentally locked the car with her infant still inside. They quickly sprang into action, and with the help of a community member, were able to unlock the car and return the infant to the mother's arms.

    LAPD is monitoring a protest at the south lawn of the LA City Hall. We are on scene to maintain order after a fight broke out. We are aware of 1 male that was stabbed & is being treated by LAFD. No arrests have been made but investigation is on going.
