    Shocked and saddened to hear of the death of David Graeber, who was a real mensch in addition to a great thinker I'll never forget his broad, goofy smile while we were being bombarded by tear gas during the 2001 FTAA actions -- he found joy in resistance. Rest in power, David

    We're all on the last thread of patience with and , who have utterly sabotaged any chance of an orderly start to NYC's school year I hope every last teacher will strike, and it's past time for de Blasio and Carranza to resign

    Today the mayor sounded like he is on his last thread of patience. There are no public signs he will give in to requests to delay reopening of schools.
