This may be unpopular but we need to learn to forgive people eventually, otherwise they don’t have a way out of their “bad” behavior. Outrage mobs seem dangerous to me because with them we can turn people who made a mistake into much worse monsters. Time + contrition necessary!

That is correct but the message would have greater credence if you said it before the offender was one of privileged caste.

I don't know what you're talking about lol. Hate mobs are like always bad IMO.

But what should be done in specific situations? Do you have a specific case in mind? Or is this is all abstract?

No. I'm talking about hate mobs and the effects they can have on society.

So what about what the hate mob is protesting against? How would you remedy that or do you even care?

I don't think mobbing is a good thing to do. If someone has done something illegal they should accept their punishment. But eventually, after time and contrition, we have to forgive and let a person move on, so that they become contributors to society again. That's all I mean.

The concern is if the mob doesn’t feel that it is getting justice from the legal system.

If you're asking me if I believe in anarchy, the answer is that I'm entirely unsure at this point?
