I'd go further and suggest that there was never really anything to forgive in the first place, and if someone insists there is, their own guilt lies in wait.

Forgive what? I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I actually didn’t have a specific instance in mind, I just mean that we need to be more forgiving of each other when we screw up.

Swift mob justice. The craziest part about demolishing people online (whether deserved or not) is that it is largely "forgotten" a short time later. In the earlier days of virality you might be "semi-famous" forever, now, we're on to a new outrage next week - a footnote in Google
