I’d say the professional class are more likely to move to low cost of living places , but then i consider the existence of SF and how it’s “needles and shit” resilient to that thesis so far — will be really interesting

Timezones make it difficult to do this generally. Similarly you have latency concerns. Then also need to ensure your cheaper country has reliable internet. And if occasional meetups are still expected then international travel could become a pain.

IBs tried offshoring entry-to-mid level roles in the past, it did not work due to major difference in cultures. Managing the difference in cultures and expectations is important to make offshoring effective, which requires Herculean effort. Tech might work though.
