Can actually buy the argument that traditional values were culturally useful but the idea that any cultural values are always useful across time seems kinda dumb. Regime shift happens and when it does, so do the drivers of the game. Same as in financial markets...

I think the biggest hole they fall in to is using a evolutionary psychology to infer forms of society/culture that would more closely resemble our biological wiring - but then completely ignores the fact that we are simply *not in that environment* anymore.

I think that makes sense. There has been a lot of regime shift. The game is just different now.
