I like the open book policy. Being straight up with people is the quality or virtue... not the successes or failures. Promoting yourself thru "ohhh look at me", or thru self depreciation arnt the key factors. Promoting yourself thru just being genuine is imo =)

NNT is impossible to quotetweet, probably 1/2 your followers are blocked by him (including me, god knows why). Gotta screenshot?

He just said you should be public about your failures but not your virtues.

I feel like it either has to be both or neither. If you show your virtues you should show your fails.

Yep agreed!

I think if you share one you have to share the other.

The point isn't that your virtues can't be public. It's that you aren't the one making them so. Generally people dislike a self promoter (look how good I am!). Most people hide their faults and display their virtues. Reversing that tendency may be noticed and likely appreciated.

How do you NOT keep your failings public? That's what I want to know.
