.is the purpose of those suggestions to nudge one into avoiding big losses, and do these examples kind of prove the point? (Guess someone will call it as loss aversion fallacy..I would more look at it as being extra cautious)..

An extension is. When there is a successful business model A in industry Y and investors have missed out on A, investors will try to find another company thats similar to A in Y. Usually the second third best don’t work out as well.

Narrative definitely matters. Agree with you on that... sometimes narrative dictates success, as well.

There are no rules, but be aware of base rates, and be hyper aware of why companies fail and why yours are maybe an exception. Never get cocky.
